Chris and Robin Rose, residents of Medina, have combined a love of food, style, and the joy they find in entertaining, with their experience in retail and food preparation to make a place that offers quality and affordability.
Chris Rose - Owner and Chef
Chris grew up in northeast Ohio and found a joy in cooking while working the part time jobs he had during his teenage years.
Chris attended Bowling Green State University where studying Restaurant and Institutional Food Service Management. Deciding to focus on the work done in the kitchen, and moved to San Francisco where he attended the California Culinary Academy, completing his training in 1988.
Since then, his resume is filled with a wide variety of career milestones. Some highlights are listed below. Chris has:
- Assisted Charlie Trotter with his first two cookbooks with recipe testing
- Worked with Julia Child on the production of her PBS series “Cooking with Master Chefs at Home”, assisting Patrick Clark of the Hay-Adams Hotel and Jean Louis Palladin of The Watermark
- Taught cooking classes at Zona Spray Cooking School and Loretta Paganini’s School of Cooking
- Was selected as one of 12 U.S. Chefs to assist the government of Chile in selection and promotion of the award winning wines and aquaculture products
- Received a Second Place Award for his recipe at the Food Arts/Italian Commission national recipe contest for his proscuitto di parma with melon-Jack Daniels salsa
- Won the coveted AAA “Four Diamond” award during his tenure as Executive Chef at Ristorante Giovanni’s in Beachwood, Ohio
- Prepared dinner for countless Hollywood actors, Fortune 500 CEO's, world class athletes, and four US Presidents

Robin Rose - Owner and Retailer
Robin Rose grew up in western PA and northeast Ohio. She graduated from Hillsdale College in Michigan earning degrees in International Business and in French. Her studies and work have taken her from Paris to the west coast.
Robin's retail experience is deep, varied, and includes:
- Managing Departments for the May Department Co.
- Manager of an award winning team at the "The Bombay Company" in the retail operations
- Advertising executive with Stern Advertising working with clients like Sterling Jewelry and McDonalds
- Manager of Sales and Customer Service for a finished steel manufacturing business
With her wide array of business experiences, Robin Rose brings an eye to the selection, combination and display of the tableware, wine, and all the extras you find at Good Taste.
